Another Fatality On Takata Airbags

Faulty Takata airbags, known to project shrapnel upon release, is facing another loss of life after final confirmation on a summer crash of the previous year. The company, which must pay tens of millions of dollars following the safety violations of their faulty (and sometimes fatal) now-recalled product, has been the cause of nine deaths worldwide, most taking place in the United States. The recall has shown to be one of the most complicated, "encompassing 23 million airbag inflators in 19 million vehicles manufactured by 12 car companies," and is continuing to cause problems for drivers such as the 13-year-old killed last year.
