Your 2018 F-150 and Mustang Can Recognize Pedestrians

If you’re planning to get the latest F-150 or Mustang, then great news for you! Ford is going to equip these two with a cool and useful new technology that allows you to detect pedestrians. The car company will install bumper-mounted radar and a windshield-mounted camera that’ll scan the road and communicate information to a Pedestrian Detection software. This will then be able to warn drivers of pedestrians in the way of the cars all day and night, and readily activate brakes if the driver doesn’t follow the system alerts. The detection system was initially tested using dummies on test tracks, and then in busy areas like Amsterdam and Paris.
