Waymo Details Long-term Business Plans

Waymo believes that the zero driver age isn’t looming. It is right here, right now. Waymo CEO John Krafcik talked at the Web Summit technology forum in Lisbon and shared that they’ve removed drivers for their pilot fleet in AZ. This will eventually develop into a paid service accessible to the public in the following months. Krafcik made that announcement to prep the public for commercial autonomous cars. This initiative also consists of an educational movement with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, tech demos for media at its CA test grounds, a car servicing collab with AutoNation and plans to grow its fleet's operating space in Chandler, AZ to 600 square miles—around as big as greater London.
