Wal-Mart to Buy Tesla Semi Trucks
Tesla just recently unveiled its electric semi-truck and lo and behold, it has already landed deals with some top companies. For instance, Wal-Mart revealed they’re going to order copies of the Semi. While they’re initially planning to just get 15 (5 for the US and 10 for Canada), this venture certainly unlocks tons of opportunities for potential collab with the electric car company. In a statement, Wal-Mart said they believe they can learn how the tech works within their supply chain and how it could aid them fulfill some of their long-term sustainability objectives like reducing emissions. J.B. Hunt, a trucking and transportation company, has also shown huge interest in purchasing multiple Tesla Semi tractors. The Semis will provide support to J.B. Hunt’s services on the West Coast.
