Trump Ditching Energy Efficiency-Relevant Programs and Research?
Perhaps the POTUS thinks we have unlimited energy resources and that climate change is a joke? Looks like the Trump administration is getting rid of programs and research related to energy efficiency, particularly the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-e) program. This said program offers $300M/year in research grants for technologies involved in decreasing fossil-fuel depletion and improving energy efficiency. ARPA-e was first introduced in 2007 under Bush’s administration and has backed up research into finding alternatives for petroleum, battery storage systems, etc.
