Tesla Model Y Really Rough Launch Date as Per Elon

While Tesla is still agonizing about the launch of Model 3, the electric car company is busy prepping a few other ventures in the coming years, such as the Roadster, Semi, and Model Y. Just recently, Elon Musk divulged more details on the estimated launch date of the Model Y compact crossover. He said earlier that its production would most likely begin in 2020. However, it seems like the real unveiling just might come sooner. Replying to a Twitter inquiry regarding the launch date, Elon said it would debut March 15. But he also quickly confessed that he just made it up because “the Ides of March sounded good.” Apparently, this date is known for Julius Caesar’s assassination. Elon later further explained that they might unveil Tesla Model Y anytime late 2018 to mid-2019 so March 15 is just about right.
