Tesla Cuts 9% of Staff

Elon Musk recently posted on Twitter that as part of a re-organization strategy, Tesla will lay off about 9% of its employees. But fret not because Model 3’s production won’t be affected by this cut. Apparently, Tesla has some duplicate roles and jobs that don’t make much sense anymore. Thus, to become more cost-effective, the EV company needs to let go some of its workforce no matter how tough that decision may be. All affected staff were duly remunerated. Also, there were no production staff workers involved, so production of Model 3 won’t be interrupted. Tesla has been working hard to increase its production after not hitting goals for the 1st quarter of the year. The automaker also aims to produce 5,000 pieces a week towards the end of the 2nd quarter.
