Solar Roads are the Way of the Future
Imagine harnessing infinite source of clean energy for your electric vehicles via solar-powered roads. Sounds more like a futuristic sci-fi flick? Not really. 5 million euros-worth of Wattway has been recently installed in France. Around 2,000 motorists are estimated to benefit from the 1-kilometer long solar road every day. This will be tested for two years and monitored if it can produce enough power to provide street lighting for a community of 3,4000 people and thus determine if the expenses are fair enough.
