Self-driving Volvo 360c Concept Targeting Local Air Travel

Volvo has just recently unveiled its 360c concept, and as anticipated, it's a fully-electric self-driving car. What makes this truly unique is it's bound to go head to head with commercial airlines. While it won't transport you abroad, Volvo thinks this 360c could be a potential rival to domestic flights. This concept will be aimed at short flights—those trips where driving is an alternative if it were only comfy or hassle-free. Routes like Houston to Dallas, LA to San Diego, and Washington DC to NY are examples of such trips. The Swedish car manufacturer believes a lot of travelers would choose a luxurious car that brings you from door to door than the stress of catching a flight, even if it translates to longer travel times.
