RIP: Defender Dead at 68

Although it's been a great run for the classic British car, the Land Rover Defender is now, officially, out of commission. First brought out in 1948, the tough-built vehicle has been sported by the likes of Paul McCartney and became a legendary model for all social and economic groups. We look forward to the follow-up model that Land Rover will roll out next!
