Reviving the GM Autonomy in the form of SURUS
Remember the GM Autonomy back in 2002? General Motors has come up with a new one on steroids, the SURUS (Silent Utility Rover Universal Superstructure). Can do much more than just transporting, the SURUS utilizes sturdy parts, allowing it to handle heavy loads and drive virtually everywhere. Plus, it’s self-driving! And since it won’t have a driver compartment, it would have extra space for other uses. GM sees it being used in construction and military transport, autonomous cargo, mobile medical unit, mobile power generator, etc. Sounds really like an all-around huge electric skateboard with tons of benefits. However, it might take a while before this materializes, as GM hasn’t announced any launch date yet.
