Renault-Nissan Wants to Offer Autonomous Ride-Sharing and Ride-Hailing Services

To stay thriving in an ever-evolving auto industry, Renault-Nissan is thinking about introducing their very own ride-hailing and ride-sharing services in the next few years. The alliance is likely to start autonomous driving services via its electric cars within 2 to 10 years. They’re actually creating a system with DeNa, a Japanese game software company, and Transdev, a French public transport operator. Ogi Redzic, Renault-Nissan’s SVP of Connected Vehicles and Mobility Services, believes that there is a huge break waiting for the alliance in the automation, EVs and ride-hailing and sharing fields. Even Goldman Sachs predicts the ride-hailing market would blow up 8x by 2030.
