Recall Alert for 1.3 Million Ford Fusions
The steering wheel is usually only moving rotationally—either clockwise or counter-clockwise. When it moves elsewhere, there’s something wrong. And when it comes off from the steering post, it’s undoubtedly malfunctioning. From Ford’s latest recall, there are more than 1.3 million Lincoln MKZs and Ford Fusions that are vulnerable to this incident. In fact, there are already 2 accidents and 1 injury related to this problem. It looks like the steering bolt is at fault, as it’s not giving sufficient torque, which then results to the bolt slowly loosening and eventually detaching from the column.
