Quit Driving Your 2006 Ford Ranger Now

Ford previously recalled roughly 3,000 Rangers (2006 year model) and advised owners to stop driving them until the defective airbags had been fixed. Now, the American car company added an extra 33,000 more trucks. Apparently, the Takata-obtained airbag inflators utilized in the concerned Rangers could burst on impact, which could fire shrapnel at the driver’s face and body. As of now, there were already 22 deaths associated with defective Takata airbags—2 of those happened in Ford Rangers. Since the Takata airbag issue arose back in 2013, the recall has incessantly grown to include 40+ million vehicles from 19 various carmakers. To resolve this, Ford will replace the airbag inflators and also offer a free loaner car while the repair is ongoing.
