Public Still Approve Self-Driving Cars Despite Self-Driving Uber Casualty

You’d think a deadly accident concerning a driverless Uber SUV would discourage people about future self-driving cars. However, General Motors President Dan Ammann claims those vehicles will improve the world. He didn’t fail to mention the accident in a keynote speech at the 2018 NADA Convention and Exposition but he also stressed that fully-developed driverless cars shall dramatically decrease accidents. The believed to be the 1st ever autonomous driving car fatality involved an Uber-owned Volvo XC90 SUV. It apparently hit a 49-year-old woman walking her bike thru a street in Tempe, AZ. While there’s a test driver behind the wheel, the vehicle failed to slow down and knocked the pedestrian.
