No Electric Car Sales Streaks for Auto Dealers

It's a sad car sales review for environmentalist and green-car enthusiasts: it seems that the past years of sales for electric cars has been way under the projected amount. Although fans of the non-diesel vehicles are upset about the noticeably low sales numbers, it seems that the auto dealers (and their salespeople) have tended to avoid potential sales of the vehicles. Why? According to the New York Times, they can potentially make less money off of service (which makes up more profits than new-car sales) and don't have the time needed to learn the new technology. This has led to the trend of a push from auto dealers towards the more traditional new cars on the lot.
