New Chill Driving Mode on Tesla

Cue the Nextflix and Chill punchline here. Kidding aside, as you know, Tesla regularly rolls out new over-the-air updates for its cars. Their 2017.44 update offers a rather fascinating new feature: Chill mode. From the description in the release notes published on Reddit and Electrek, this latest feature is exactly what it sounds like, which is the counterpart of Ludicrous mode. So Chill mode then softens the throttle response for smoother, calmer acceleration. The release notes say drivers can opt between 2 acceleration selections: Chill and Standard. The other huge update features an exit mode—available on many other luxury vehicles. When chosen, the steering wheel and seat change for easy ingress/egress.
