Magna Investing in Lyft to Boost Autonomous Driving Tech

Ride-sharing startup Lyft now have Magna as one of its investors to further develop self-driving technology. The Canadian car dealer will be investing $200 million to collaborate in coming up with an autonomous driving system for light vehicles. This partnership is just one of several Lyft has made with carmakers, dealers and other technology firms since they declared its self-driving efforts in July. Lyft will be in-charge of developing the software for the self-driving system. Magna will then create and incorporate the system into cars. No timeline was given as to when the tech will be available.
