Honda Under Fire for Selling Cars with Faulty Infotainment Systems
Honda US is facing federal class-action lawsuit charges for allegedly selling 2019 Pilot crossovers and 2018-2019 Odyssey minivans equipped with malfunctioning infotainment systems and refusing to patch the issue. As per the lawsuit, the flaw has caused the infotainment system to freeze or crash often. Affected owners also experienced some features being deactivated like the navigation system, rearview camera and radio. It's reckoned that there are about 150,000 affected cars that were bought when Honda outfitted them with faulty infotainment systems. The lawfirm representing Honda owners also showed a YouTube video of a client's infotainment system going mad while driving. The lawsuit aims to get monetary compensation for owners who purchased or leased an affected car, and to prohibit the carmaker to continue selling cars with faulty infotainment systems.
