General Motors Adding 450 Jobs at 3 OH Factories

General Motors recently mentioned that they're looking to invest $700 million and offer over 450 manufacturing job openings at their 3 factories in OH. There's a possibility that these opportunities will benefit those workers the automaker axed from their Lordstown Assembly Plant. They verified the plans just right after Trump tweeted them. Trump said the investments and jobs as he argued GM had gone to sell its Lordstown factory to Workhouse Group to manufacture e-trucks. General Motors clarified it's simply in talks with Workhorse. The American carmaker also said the investments will boost stamping and powertrain ops in Parma, Toledo and Moraine. The United Automobile Workers were not delighted about the statement, saying GM must rather revive vehicle production in Lordstown.
