Ford Rationalizing Discontinuation of Sedans

Ford's announcement early this year that they're discontinuing production of sedans and would instead concentrate on utility vehicles worries some dealers. However, heads of the American car company explains their reason at a recently held conference for Ford dealers. It was in April when they broadcasted their plans to halt anything to do with Focus, Fiesta, Fusion and Taurus in the US audience. They're all bound to vanish, with Focus production now cancelled. The Fusion, though, is still on for at least til next year. Ford meticulously studied the bigger trends and recognizes sedans have dropped from earning 57% of the North American market in 2010 to an anticipated 30% come 2019. On the othe hand, utility vehicles have increased demands—up from 36% to an expected 52 % in 2019.
