Ford Funding an Artificial Intelligence Company

In the next 5 years, Ford is spending $1B to help artificial intelligence startup company, Ago AI, develop their robot cars’ brains. Argo AI’s field of expertise is robotics and virtual driver systems. This will likely work well with Ford’s autonomous car team that’s gearing up to launch a completely self-driving ride in 2021. Argo’s founders, Bryan Salesky and Peter Rander, are previous employees of Google and Uber respectively. Towards the end of 2017, Argo will put up offices in MI, CA, along with its headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. These three facilities will bring about 200+ jobs.
