FCA Recall Alert Due to Fire and Airbag Issues

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a whopping 1.33 million cars globally because of possible fire hazards and involuntary airbag deployments. About 770K SUVs will be recalled for a wiring problem that may cause spontaneous setting out of the driver’s airbag. So far, it’s been associated with 5 accounts of related minor injuries, however, no crashes, fortunately. The Italian automaker is also recalling 565K cars to change their alternators, as they may lead to fire. They said hot ambient temperatures may cause early diode wear and may produce a burning stench or smoke. This may also affect the anti-lock brakes or cause engine stalls. There’d been 2 possible accidents related to this but zero injuries.
