FCA Might Build a Baby Jeep

Jeep is seriously considering building a new ride that’s smaller than their Renegade subcompact crossover. According to Mike Manley, the brand’s head, this “baby” Jeep is aimed at folks in European countries and other international markets where small cars are in demand except the United States. If this plan materializes, the baby Jeep might be built in FCA’s factory in Pomigliano, Italy—as per La Stampa newspaper. As of now, FCA makes the Fiat Panda minicar in Pomigliano. Some suppliers also said that there’ve been talks about the probable making of a small Jeep since early last year. From that point on, this project has been through a ton of stops and starts. If made, this baby Jeep would be founded on the Mini platform, which boosts the Fiat Panda and 500 minicars, plus the Lancia Ypsilon.
