Facebook Looking at Developing Partnerships with Car Makers

Facebook is interested to increase advertising from the car industry, which has been a huge dilemma because people aren’t really used to shopping new vehicles online. The social network giant wants to change that by forging relationships with automakers. Just recently, FB sent its COO Sheryl Sandberg to Detroit for the Facebook Automotive Summit. According to her, there’s currently no direct link to buy a car from a Facebook ad like there is in other industries. But nonetheless she sees the value of collaborating with car companies in terms of boosting the brand’s engagement and revenue.
