Drone-Equipped SUV to Aid Red Cross in Rescue Missions
Another cool and useful development in the car industry is this Land Rover Discovery that has drone-launching capabilities. It was conceptualized and made by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations department in partnership with Red Cross to hopefully expedite disaster response time and save lives. The drone is installed on the roof and can be operated using an app and transmits live video to allow the rescue team to see a close-up view of an earthquake and other calamities from a safe distance. The Red Cross is set to test it for a year starting in June in Geneva.
