Drivers Nowadays More Open Minded about Self-Driving Vehicles

Surrendering control of your vehicle to an inanimate but intelligent software is a tough thing to do. However, it seems like more and more drivers nowadays are less hesitant about the concept of self-driving cars. As per AAA’s research, just 63% of US drivers say they’d be scared to get in a completely autonomous vehicle. While that doesn’t sound remarkable, it’s actually a huge drop compared to last year’s result, which was 78% of people said they’re terrified of such cars. This means, this year, about 20 million more US drivers would trust a driverless car to give them a ride. The report also shows that millennials are more inclined to adopt the technology because only 49% express anxiety or fear of these vehicles. It’s 73% last year.
