Daimler's Profit Dropped by 50%

Daimler reported that their income decreased by half last year and it also dealt with charges of up to 1.5 B euros or $1.7 B because of diesel pollution. The 50% loss, caused by restructuring costs from their vans and mobility services, is the German luxury automaker's 3rd under new head Ola Kaellenius and the 5th in 19 months. Despite this, Daimler remains to be the premium car top-seller in the world last year. The company announced just the prelim 2019 report. The full result will be released on February 11. Arndt Ellinghorst, Evercore ISI analyst said that it's incredible that its new CEO hasn't dine anything so far with regard to his divisional leadership teams. The carmaker's diesel pollution levels are also under investigation by prosecutors in Stuttgart, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and by the California Air Resources Board.
