Congress Insisted to Not Toss Out EV Discounts

Congress has been insistent on finalizing a tax reform plan by the end of 2017, which might affect EVs’ future. While the Senate is fine with keeping federal EV rebates, a proposal from the House would trash the $7.5K tax credit that buyers get for choosing an electric car. As expected, many city authorities are advising Congress not to abolish the rebates that support the economy plus lessen our reliance on foreign oil. 22 mayors highlighted the significance of EV discounts in a letter sent to Congress. Such benefits include: 200K new jobs created in the US car industry, money savings, etc.
