2017 Hyundai Elantra’s Safety Upgrade Lands Top Safety Pick+ Award
Safety game is now stronger than ever with the redesigned 2017 Hyundai Elantra, earning it a Top Safety Pick+ Award from the Institute for Highway Safety. The previous version only rated “acceptable” in IIHS' rigorous small overlap test. On the other hand, the new and improved 2017 model now includes a front-crash prevention system that scores them a superior rating. Note that the good rating is only applicable to 2017 Elantras made after March when modifications were integrated.
